United Way of Northern New Jersey has unveiled the finalists for its commercial real estate awards next month, part of a program that will mark its 25th year of partnering with industry executives for the organization’s largest annual fundraiser.
Slated for May 10, the United Way Legacy Event is slated to draw hundreds to The Meadow Wood in Randolph for one of real estate’s most popular spring networking events in New Jersey. They’ll be on hand as the nonprofit honors deals or development projects in two categories for having a positive impact on the region, with nominees including:
Commercial:
- Kenvue Inc.’s world headquarters: 1 Kenvue Way, Summit
- M Station: 100 and 110 Morris St, Morristown
- McKinsey & Co.: 110 Edison Place, Newark
- Newark Strong expansion, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center: 201 Lyons Ave., Newark
Industrial:
- CenterPoint at Linden: 1501 West Edgar Road, Linden
- Central 9 Logistics Park: Jake Brown Road, Old Bridge
- Prospect Plains Commerce Center: 258 Prospect Plains Road, Cranbury
Finalists are chosen by the United Way Commercial Real Estate Network, a group of industry leaders who partner with United Way for the annual program. The event will also recognize those executives with the United Way Spirit of Philanthropy Award, which honors an individual or group from the commercial real estate industry whose actions reflect the values of United Way, as a means of celebrating those committee members that have given of their time and resources to help grow the event to its current size and stature.
Those efforts have helped generate more than $4.5 million for United Way since the event’s inception, according to a news release, raising money for its work across the region to improve life for so-called ALICE households who are asset-limited, income-constrained and employed and those in poverty. This year’s gold sponsor is Turner Construction Co., while Unispace is the event’s welcome reception sponsor.
United Way will also debut a new event format, providing attendees with more time to network.
