Professional services firm VHB has hired Brian Perry as its new managing director for New Jersey, touting his more than two decades of experience in engineering consulting and design.
In a news release, the firm said Perry will spearhead operations and business development while leading the delivery of integrated engineering, transportation, planning and environmental solutions to public- and private-sector clients. He’ll do so while drawing on nearly 23 years of experience, having held leadership roles at professional services firms in New Jersey and Pennsylvania while serving clients at both the local and national levels.
Perry will be based in VHB’s Manasquan office.
“Brian’s appointment is a significant milestone for VHB,” said Mike McArdle, the firm’s chief development officer. “As we strive to extend our reach in New Jersey, his reputation, seasoned skills and proven leadership make him an ideal fit to lead our team. We are incredibly excited for the fresh perspective and focus Brian is set to introduce as we strategically grow our integrated services and expand our markets across the state.”
According to VHB, Perry’s experience includes managing all aspects of project development from due diligence and conceptual design to project construction and closeout. Among his many assignments, he has spearheaded project management and engineering oversight for the largest residential project approved in New Jersey in 2021 and a new flagship cancer treatment manufacturing facility for a global pharmaceutical company.
His leadership role with VHS will also include fostering, managing and growing its team in New Jersey. The firm added that his familiarity with the central New Jersey area will play a pivotal role in strengthening relationships with clients, further solidifying VHB’s position in the marketplace.
Perry is a licensed professional engineer, a certified municipal engineer and LEED-accredited professional in building design and construction, the news release said. He holds a bachelor’s in civil and environmental engineering and a master’s in water resources and environmental engineering from Villanova University.
