A health care consulting firm has leased more than 16,000 square feet at a Matawan office building, in a newly announced deal by Zimmel Associates.
In a news release, the brokerage firm said Alliance Health System will occupy parts of two floors at 14 Cliffwood Ave. The 16,300-square-foot deal absorbs all remaining space at the 48,000-square-foot building, which is owned by Laser Focus Holdings and is just off Exit 120 of the Garden State Parkway.
Zimmel Associates President David Zimmel represented the landlord in negotiations with Alliance Health System CEO Nicolas Bufano and Chief Operating Officer Rayna Wolfman.
“Recognizing Alliance Health System’s expertise in providing practice management and administrative support services to individual physicians, group practices, and hospitals, we identified them as ideal tenants,” Zimmel said. “With a statewide network, their move from Morganville … to a more accessible Matawan location aligns perfectly with their corporate objectives.”
The deal follows Laser Focus Holdings’ purchase of 14 Cliffwood last year from Methfessel & Werbel, which had owned the building since 2017. Zimmel, meantime, has been its leasing agent since it was built in 2008 and has brokered multiple trades of the property, including the recent $7.5 million sale to its current owner.
The brokerage firm noted that the building provides Alliance with expansion potential and the opportunity to prominently display its signage on the façade.
