An investor has acquired a nearly 3,700-square-foot office building in Totowa, in a deal arranged by Zoltek Commercial Real Estate Services and NAI James E. Hanson.
The buyer, 15 Furler LLC, paid an undisclosed sum for the freestanding, two-story property at 15 Furler St. and now plans to begin an interior renovation “to improve a great image accentuating original mid-century architectural gems,” according to a news release from Fair Lawn-based Zoltek. It will do so in order to capitalize on the 3,662-square-foot building’s easy access to routes 46 and 3 and Interstate 80.
Zoltek Sales Associate Alicja Jakubiec represented the buyer, while NAI James E. Hanson’s Andrew Somple, Jessica Curry and Justin Allessio represented the seller, Sheetmetal Contractors Association of Northern New Jersey. The latter team noted that 15 Furler has 10 on-site parking spaces and is near a range of shopping and restaurant options including Marshalls, Staples, TJ Maxx, Applebee’s, IHOP and Smashburger.
“While the national office market continues to experience challenges, there has been a demand for smaller, well-located office space that can serve as a home base for local businesses,” Somple said. “With that said, finding the right buyer for these spaces can be challenging, so we implemented a strategic approach that highlighted the investment value of the property and ultimately provided the real estate services needed to finalize a deal on our client’s behalf.”
