Denholtz Properties CEO Steven Denholtz will be the latest recipient of NAIOP New Jersey’s lifetime achievement award, headlining a list of honorees for the chapter’s spring gala that will also include its own former longtime chief executive.
Slated for May 16, the event is set to bring hundreds of commercial real estate leaders to The Palace at Somerset Park in Franklin for a program that recognizes individuals, companies and the year’s most impactful deals and projects. In a video on Wednesday, NAIOP New Jersey CEO Dan Kennedy revealed this year’s slate of honorees in four categories, including:
- Charles Klatskin Lifetime Achievement Award: Steven Denholtz, CEO of Denholtz Properties
- Impact Award: Beth Rooney, director, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey
- Impact Award: CSG Law
- Caren S. Franzini Public Partner Award: Carteret Mayor Daniel J. Reiman
- Industry Service Award: Michael McGuinness, former CEO, NAIOP New Jersey
“You can expect the same high level of hospitality and exceptional networking opportunities, in addition to a streamlined and more interactive awards and recognition program,” Kennedy said, later adding: “So please join us along with some other very special guests at the NAIOP gala to celebrate these honorees at the largest networking event in New Jersey’s commercial real estate industry.”
The chapter noted that Denholtz, who has spent nearly four decades with Denholtz Properties, is responsible for its strategic direction. The Red Bank-based firm’s portfolio spans multiple asset classes and “continues to be a leader in development, new business and investment.”
Rooney, meantime, manages and works to improve performance across what NAIOP said is a critical agency and infrastructure network, while Roseland-based CSG Law “has advocated tirelessly for their clients while giving so much of their time, talent and resources to the greater mission of NAIOP New Jersey.” Reiman, Carteret’s mayor for more than two decades, “has fostered infrastructure investments in his town, leading to large investments in the burgeoning industrial area, waterfront and downtown cultural arts and business districts.”
McGuinness, who Kennedy succeeded last summer, “is someone who needs no introduction to NAIOP New Jersey chapter members.”
“Mike was CEO of the chapter for 27 years and his tireless advocacy has positioned our chapter very well by any metric,” Kennedy said. “At the gala, we will celebrate Mike, his leadership and active commitment to the community of New Jersey.”
