Insurance brokerage RT Specialty has promoted Maureen Amari to vice president of operations within its environmental and construction professional practice.
In a news release, the firm said Amari was the first hire for the Hamilton-based division when it was formed in 2005.
Starting as an
account and
office manager,
she now
supervises the
organization’s
training efforts
and day-to-day
operations,
while also serving as the practice’s resident specialist on process and surplus lines compliance issues.
“Maureen has been with us since the beginning,” said Jefferey S. Lejfer, president of RT Specialty’s Hamilton office. “She has grown alongside
our team and played a valued role in our growth from a niche player to the market’s premier resource for environmental and construction- related insurance solutions. Her dedication to this team and our clients has been a driving force behind our success for the past 16 years.”
Amari joined the team with more than 25 years of commercial and personal insurance lines experience, the news release said. In addition to serving as an assistant vice president at Aon for 15 years, she worked at Prudential in the United Kingdom for three years and at independent insurance firms in New Jersey for another 10.

ASSOCIATE TO

Bussel Realty Corp. has expanded its brokerage team with the hiring of Anthony Rittwager as a sales associate.
The firm, which is based in Edison, said Rittwager
brings more
than a decade of
commercial real estate industry experience, beginning his career with an initial focus
on multifamily
syndications. He joins BRC from Marcus & Millichap, having served in executive support roles in
the private equity market, and brings what the firm said will be a distinctive perspective in advisory services.
To that end, a primary focus for Rittwager will be the application of predictive analytics in industrial real estate, the news release said.

at BRC,” said Steve Bussel, the firm’s president. “He will be learning the northern and central New Jersey industrial market and assist our sales teams with clients and properties.”
Rittwager holds a master’s in business education from Rider University and a bachelor’s in accounting from The College of New Jersey, the news release said. He is also continuing education
at Columbia University and holds a New Jersey Department of Education Business Administrator Certificate.

  The Woodbridge-based firm said Fersko will serve on the NJSBA panel’s executive committee for
the 2021-2022 term. He will also co-chair the committee’s corporate – transactional subcommittee.
In the new roles, Fersko will work with his fellow committee and subcommittee members to develop and implement programming, according to a news release. They will also ensure that the group’s members continue to receive the education and resources needed to remain updated on the issues associated with the burgeoning area of cannabis law in New Jersey.
