Private investors have acquired a roughly 38,000-square-foot building in downtown Asbury Park for $2.95 million, in a newly announced deal by Barone Commercial Resources LLC.

The firm’s Neil Barone represented the seller in the transaction at 600 Main St. Located roughly a quarter-mile from the Asbury Park train station, the 38,469-square-foot property is the former home of the YMCA and most recently housed the Jersey Shore Adult Day Health Care Center.

The buyer is expected to redevelop the property.
