Another 7-Eleven is coming to downtown Newark.
Brokerage firm Zoltek Realty announced recently that the convenience store chain had leased 3,045 square feet at 131 Market St. in the city. The new location puts it in the heart of the downtown, between Halsey and Washington streets, with an anticipated grand opening set for next month.
“131 Market Street is a phenomenal location for 7-Eleven,” said Urszula Zoltek, founder and owner of Zoltek Realty. “It is next to NJ Transit Bus stops, close proximity to Essex College, University Hospital and it has continuous pedestrian traffic.
“The corner of Halsey and Market Street is one of the busiest in the city. The 3,045-square-foot store will boast beautiful glass frontage and tremendous visibility.”
The Rutherford-based firm represented 7-Eleven, the world’s largest convenience store chain, which is headquartered in Irving, Texas. Zoltek said new stores are opening across northern and central New Jersey and that the firm is brokering transactions at a majority the locations.
