Renters have leased more than 440 units in six months at a recently opened luxury apartment building in Jersey City, say co-developers Ironstate Development Co. and KRE Group.
Designed by HLW International, 235 Grand features 549 residences complemented by a series of indoor and outdoor amenities. The 46-story building features dramatic views of Manhattan, New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty.
“235 Grand has captured a significant share of this market since opening,” said Michael Barry, CEO and president of Ironstate. “The building has successfully appealed to renters looking for great design, an amenity package that delivers both recreational and creative communal work spaces, and a downtown Jersey City location with proximity to dining, nightlife and convenient transportation to Manhattan.”
The Marketing Directors is overseeing the leasing program.
“You’ve got everything at your fingertips here,” added Jonathan Kushner, president of KRE Group, about 235 Grand’s Liberty Harbor location, which connects to the Grove Street neighborhood. “Residents are surrounded by parks, transportation, restaurants and just great nightlife. The neighborhood has really matured into a fantastic place to live.”
Located blocks from the Hudson River waterfront, 235 Grand unites contemporary design with the neighborhood’s vibrant history, placing residents just steps from a wide range of lifestyle needs and services. The building is close to NY Waterway and the Grove Street PATH station, with service to Lower and Midtown Manhattan, while the nearby Newark Avenue Pedestrian Plaza — Jersey City’s restaurant row — offers food, cocktails, rooftop bars and outdoor community events.
KRE Group and Ironstate Development selected international design firm Bentel & Bentel to fashion the interior spaces and amenity suite at 235 Grand. Amenities includes a 24-hour attended lobby, state-of-the-art fitness center, barre/yoga studio, resident lounge and co-working spaces. The building features a landscaped roof terrace with a swimming pool, movie screen, fire pit, grills, showers and Wi-Fi.
The property offers apartments ranging from studios to two-bedroom floorplans.
