Cushman & Wakefield has bolstered its capital markets team in the region with the addition of Joanna Manfro, a veteran broker in the retail space.

In her new role as managing director, Northeast retail investment sales, Manfro will focus on advancing client advisory, expanding relationships and supporting strategic growth initiatives across the market, according to a news release. She’ll do so as part of the firm’s Tri-State Capital Markets group and its National Retail Investment Advisors team, led by Vice Chair Mark Gilbert, working alongside Executive Managing Director Frank DiTommaso and under the direction of Executive Regional Director Peter Bronsnick.
“As the retail landscape continues to evolve, Cushman & Wakefield is committed to growing our national and regional retail advisory platform,” Gilbert said. “Joanna’s expertise will further strengthen our ability to deliver institutional-quality advisory in one of the most dynamic and opportunity-rich markets in the country. Joanna has the benefit and experience of the client’s perspective, and this makes her an even more valuable adviser.”
Manfro has more than 15 years of experience in the retail sector that spans real estate investment trust acquisitions and multitenant retail brokerage, the news release said. Cushman also cited her deep market knowledge, client-focused approach and track record across the Northeast, noting that she’ll work alongside DiTomasso and Associate Director Max Helfman to expand its retail investment platform in the region.
“On behalf of my partners and the entire Tri-State Capital Markets team, we are excited to bring Joanna onboard to bolster our efforts within the retail sector,” DiTommaso said. “Under Mark Gilbert’s leadership and in conjunction with the firm’s RIA platform, we have arranged some of the most significant retail capital markets transactions in the country, on behalf of both institutional and private clients. Joanna’s unique perspective and creativity will undoubtedly be well-received by owners throughout the Tri-State Region and she will help us drive meaningful outcomes for owners and investors.”
