A global freight forwarding and logistics firm has signed a 20,000-square-foot industrial lease in Linden, in one of several recent transactions by Bussel Realty Corp.
The brokerage team said the tenant, Weida Freight Systems, will occupy space at 2500 Brunswick Ave. under a deal with CHS Development. That provides the logistics firm with a site that’s minutes from Exit 13 of the New Jersey Turnpike and the Goethals Bridge, part of a seven-building, 208,000-square-foot complex with 12- to 26-foot clear ceiling heights, wet and ESFR sprinkler systems, ample loading and trailer parking.
BRC Principal Jordan Metz, Senior Associate Benito Abbate and Sales Associate James Friel represented ownership, while CBRE represented the tenant. The Metz-led team also represented the landlord in another deal in the city, at 1600 Lower Road, where Alpha Cargo Transport is leasing a one-acre industrial outdoor property from 1600 Lower Road Associates.
In Kearny, BRC represented RHS Hope LLC in two transactions at 76-104 Third Ave., according to a news release. PuroClean of Newark took 20,000 square feet at the 100,030-square-foot property — which has 24-foot clear ceiling heights, tailboard loading, 1,800 amps of power, wet sprinklers and 75 parking spaces — while Festive Planet committed to 7,500 square feet.
CRP New Jersey represented both tenants in Kearny.
“Access to port infrastructure, major highways and dense population centers is no longer optional but critical,” Metz said. “Tenants are moving decisively when well-located product hits the market, particularly in the small-bay and IOS sectors where availability remains limited. Linden and Kearny continue to outperform because they offer locations within minutes of the Port and New York City. We expect competition for functional, infill assets in these corridors to remain intense.”
