A longtime Mack-Cali Realty Corp. leasing executive has joined Avison Young’s New Jersey team.
The firm announced Monday that it has hired Toni L. Casiano as a senior vice president, noting that she will specialize in transaction management and agency services. She comes to AY’s Morristown office after more than two decades with Mack-Cali, where she most recently served as a senior vice president of leasing for an office portfolio of more than 11 million square feet.
“Toni brings a wealth of experience, market knowledge and professionalism that will boost the already strong and accomplished office leasing team here in New Jersey,” said Jeffrey L. Heller, an Avison Young principal and its managing director in New Jersey. “We are excited to have Toni join Avison Young New Jersey and assist new and existing clients with customized occupier and landlord strategies that align with their long-term needs.”
Casiano has more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience, with a strong background in both corporate and landlord transaction services, lease negotiations and asset management services, according to a news release. During her time at Mack-Cali, she oversaw the structure and negotiation of all lease and marketing transactions representing about 59 percent of the company’s reported office sector.

In announcing the move, Avison Young said Casiano brings executive-level experience in all aspects of strategic asset planning including new and built-to-suit development projects and the acquisition and disposition of properties. She has been a tenant and landlord representative for a portfolio that includes office, industrial and retail properties and has closed more than 10 million square feet of commercial transactions throughout her career.
Prior to Mack-Cali, Casiano served as the director of leasing and marketing for Paragon Associates, a private owner and developer, and as a tenant broker with the Helmsley-Spear organization. She attended the New York University School of Professional Studies, where she focused on asset management, and Montclair State University, where she studied psychology.
Avison Young added that she is a licensed New Jersey real estate broker and has served on the Executive Leadership Committee for Mack-Cali and the Commercial Real Estate Network Committee for the United Way, the news release said. She has also served on the board of directors to Shelter Harbor Yacht Club, the board of trustees to Camp Speers YMCA and the board of directors to Meadowlands Overlook Condominium Association.
