A specialty bakery has leased more than 900 square feet at the busy Livingston Town Center along Route 10, in a newly announced deal by Azarian Realty Co.
According to a news release, Tunkas Bolivian Baked Goods will open its first storefront when it takes over a second-generation restaurant space formerly home to Rush Bowls. It now joins more than two dozen operators at the two-story shopping center at Route 10 and North Livingston Avenue, where it will provide artisanal and rarely available Bolivian street foods such as salteñas, which are meat pies that have a sweet, doughy and crispy exterior with brothy, savory fillings.
Kevin Pelio of Azarian Realty Co. represented the landlord and the tenant in the 911-square-foot deal at 1100-8100 Town Center Way, noting that the business is currently a food truck operator in the East Orange area. It also offers alfajores, breads, coffee, tea and other beverages.
Other tenants at the 65,523-square-foot Livingston Town Center include Wonder, Wells Fargo, Shiseido, Monmouth Cards, Alpha Fit Club, HOTWORX and more.
