Leasing is set to begin at the mixed-use, potentially transformative development known as Journal Squared, but you don’t need a tour to see the Jersey City tower up close.
A new drone video created Hollwich Kushner, one of the project’s architects, shows sweeping views of the 53-story building with New York City and northern New Jersey as backdrop. The firm posted the 46-second clip recently as Kushner Real Estate Group and National Real Estate Advisors, the developers of Journal Squared, prepare to begin leasing in the third week of this month.

The upscale 538-unit tower is the first of three that aim to reawaken the former commercial hub of Jersey City. The full project calls for 1,838 residential units and 36,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space — all with direct access to the Journal Square PATH station.
Rents start around $1,850 for a studio, $2,100 for a one-bedroom and $3,200 for a two-bedroom, according to a spokeswoman for the property. Three-bedrooms begin around $4,200.
The complex is located at Magnolia, Pavonia and Summit avenues, sitting atop the highest point in Jersey City. The Marketing Directors will oversee leasing at the project.
