A longtime broker with The Blau & Berg Co. has taken over as New Jersey chapter president of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.
Charles T. Kavanagh, an executive vice president with the Short Hills-based firm, helms a 2023 leadership team that also includes Cushman & Wakefield’s Thomas Tucci as vice president, Cushman’s Mindy Lissner as treasurer and NAI James E. Hanson’s Christopher Todd as secretary. They assumed their roles on Jan. 1.
Blau & Berg noted Tuesday that Kavanagh is the third consecutive member of its team to serve as SIOR chapter president. He follows Blau & Berg President Jason M. Crimmins and Executive Vice President Alex Conte, who held the post in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
Kavanagh brings nearly 50 years of commercial and industrial real estate experience to the position and was one of the original principal investors in Blau & Berg in 1990, the firm said.
