A glass company has leased nearly 54,000 square feet of industrial space in the Keasbey section of Woodbridge, in a newly announced deal by Bussel Realty Corp.
Brokers with the firm represented ownership in the transaction with Major Tempered Glass LLC, which is relocating to 300 Smith St. from New York. The company will occupy the full building, which is just off Route 440 and minutes from the New Jersey Turnpike, Garden State Parkway and Route 1&9, as well as Port Newark-Elizabeth and other destinations.
BRC Senior Vice President David Blitt and vice presidents Eli Harari and David Paster completed the assignment on behalf of 300 Smith Street Associates. Their BRC colleagues — Senior Vice President Jordan Metz, Senior Associate Benito Abbate and Sale Associate James Friel — represented the tenant in the 53,550-square-foot deal.
“We are pleased to have worked with the Metz Industrial Group and their client in locating the ideal industrial space for its business,” Blitt said. “The property’s ample parking and proximity to major markets in northern New Jersey and New York City and the ports were key to servicing its clientele.”
In a news release, BRC said 300 Smith St. has 2,500 square feet of office space, 22-foot ceiling heights, four tailboards, 1,600 amps of power and parking for 35 cars and 15 trailers.
“We are excited to bring Major Tempered Glass’ manufacturing operation from New York to New Jersey, marking a significant step forward for New Jersey manufacturing!” Abbate said “The location, functionality and access to strong labor attracted the tenant to 300 Smith Street in a transaction which demonstrated close collaboration between both the brokers and the principals, that led to a successful outcome.”
