A business owner has acquired a nearly 45,000-square-foot industrial property in Piscataway for more than $5.5 million, in a newly announced transaction by Bussel Realty Corp.
Brokers with the firm represented the buyer, Simex, in its purchase of 2 Corporate Place. The seller, American Express, reaped about $5.55 million from its sale of the 44,362-square-foot building.
BRC Senior Vice President Leo Esses and Sales Associate Ilan Tabbouche completed the assignment for the Edison-based firm. JLL represented the seller.
“Leo and Ilan performed an extensive search of the marketplace in order to locate the ideal property for our business,” said Eli Chalouh, president of Simex. “With their extensive knowledge of the market, they kept me apprised of new properties becoming available which is key in this very tight market.”
BRC announced the deal Monday, noting that 2 Corporate Place is minutes from Interstate 287 and the New Jersey Turnpike. The property features 16- to 20-foot ceiling heights, two loading docks, 14,000 square feet of office space and 82 surface parking spaces.
