Commercial real estate executive Kimberly Brennan has joined CBRE’s New York leadership team, following more than three and half years with Colliers International.

CBRE announced Thursday that it has hired Brennan as a senior managing director. In the new role, she will work closely with a team that includes Northeast Division President Matt Van Buren, along with Michael Casey, Susan Nagler-Cohen, Travis Yuengst, Elaine Kleinberg, Ruth Levy and Jennifer Czubaja.
“Kim is a great addition to our management team,” Van Buren said. “She is deeply knowledgeable of the New York real estate market, knows how to drive business, has great people skills and is highly regarded by our senior professionals.”
Brennan most recently served as chief operating officer for the New York tristate region at Colliers. She joined the firm in early 2015, following nearly a decade with Cushman & Wakefield and about a year and a half as its New Jersey market leader.
She brings more than 20 years of experience in New York-area real estate and is now returning to CBRE, the firm said. Brennan served as market research manager at Insignia/ESG, which CBRE acquired in 2003, and rose to the position of director of brokerage services in Midtown Manhattan.
Brennan is a well-known executive in the industry and is a board trustee of NAIOP New Jersey. She is also active in with Commercial Real Estate Women, or CREW.
