Brookfield Properties has preleased a nearly 152,000-square-foot industrial building in Union Township, in a newly announced deal by Lee & Associates – WBE New Jersey.
According to a news release, an undisclosed manufacturer will use the space at 901 Lehigh Ave. to expand its business. The deal also provides it with a location that’s about four miles from the New Jersey Turnpike, giving it easy access to Port Newark-Elizabeth and New York City.
Lee & Associates’ Drew Maffey and Rick Marchisio represented both parties in the 151,676-square-foot deal, noting that the facility sits on 8.5 acres and has 28 loading spaces, 36-foot clear ceiling heights and ample car and trailer parking. The property is also certified on the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design scale and a short drive from Route 22, the Garden State Parkway, Routes 1 & 9 and Interstate 78.
“The property’s Class A functionality and ideal Union County location were major draws, as was the opportunity to occupy a brand new, freestanding building as its sole tenant,” Maffey said. “Beyond that, Union Distribution Center provides our client with superior access to regional thoroughfares in one of the state’s most desirable submarkets.”
