A veteran broker with The Blau & Berg Co. has taken the reins as the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors’ New Jersey chapter president.

Alessandro “Alex” Conte, an executive vice president with the Short Hills-based firm, will serve a one-year term at the helm of a chapter that includes more than 70 members. He succeeds Blau & Berg’s Jason Crimmins in the post, calling the honor “one of the greatest achievements of my professional career.”
“Following in the footsteps of legendary real estate professionals dating back to 1943, I am humbled by this appointment as it comes from the collective voice of my industry peers,” Conte said. “My goal is to not only continue on in the great traditions set forth before me but to build upon them in keeping with SIOR’s global commitment to excellence and integrity.”
He is the 79th New Jersey chapter president for an organization that includes commercial and industrial real estate brokers worldwide. Only the industry’s top performers qualify for the SIOR designation, which is currently held by nearly 3,500 professionals globally.
The local chapter’s 2022 board also includes Newmark’s Kyle Eaton as vice president, Blau & Berg’s Charles Kavanagh as treasurer and Cushman & Wakefield’s Thomas Tucci as secretary.
