Law firm Cullen and Dykman LLP has opened a 9,300-square-foot office in Newark, an outpost that will house its real estate attorneys and other core practice groups.
The firm announced Wednesday that it has expanded into One Riverfront Plaza, also known as the Newark Legal Center. The office is the firm’s third in New Jersey, along with its locations in Hackensack and Princeton.
Cullen and Dykman’s New Jersey roster now includes 23 attorneys, according to a news release. In addition to its real estate team, Cullen and Dykman has relocated attorneys and staff tied to its banking, commercial and tort litigation, energy and utilities and corporate law groups.
The expansion of the firm to Newark will allow for it to better serve its current New Jersey clients and more efficiently handle the transactional, litigation and regulatory work as it continues to grow, the news release said. The remainder of the firm’s staff, which is more than 150 attorneys and an additional 168 employees, will continue working from offices on Wall Street and Long Island, along with Albany and Washington D.C.
“The addition of a full service office in Newark reflects the firm’s commitment to grow and expand, and serve our clients in their communities, throughout the region” Christopher H. Palmer, managing partner of Cullen and Dykman, said in a prepared statement. “Our new location in the heart of Newark’s business district is directly connected to Newark Penn Station and within easy access of most major New Jersey roadways.”
Steven J. Robinson, a partner at Cullen and Dykman with nearly 30 years of experience and Seton Hall Law School graduate, has been selected to manage the firm’s Newark office. Neil Yoskin will continue to manage the Princeton office, while Leon Sokol will remain in his current role involved in the overall management of the New Jersey practice.
“Our strong client relationships and our objective of providing them with superior legal service at a reasonable cost structure are driving our growth,” Palmer said. “With this addition to our existing offices, Cullen and Dykman’s expansion is being fueled by our valued clients who have supported our growth. Our reputation and skilled attorneys will allow us to capitalize on additional opportunities in the Garden State.”
