Cushman & Wakefield has hired a longtime broker and industry executive for a newly created role aimed at building its talent pipeline and business development in New Jersey.

The real estate services firm this week said Michael Staskiewicz joins its team as a senior managing director, leadership coach and business strategist. Based in its East Rutherford office, he joins C&W from The Garibaldi Group, where he served as chief growth officer.
“We are thrilled to welcome Michael to this newly created role,” said Peter Bronsnick, the firm’s managing principal in New Jersey. “Michael will develop customized plans with a focus on revenue growth and identify new business inception points for our brokerage teams. His extensive experience will prove invaluable in this effort as we continue to provide our clients with true expertise across each of the platform verticals.”
Staskiewicz has more than 20 years of advisory experience with financial, operational, marketing and technological expertise across multiple industries, according to a news release. In his new role, he will focus on working with C&W’s next-generation talent in the region to craft strategies that generate business opportunities and grow market share.
“I’m looking forward to using my experience as both a creative and analytical strategist, coupled with my brokerage background, to help Cushman & Wakefield continue to elevate its best-in-class talent and grow market share across the firm’s many service line offerings,” Staskiewicz said. “Cushman & Wakefield’s culture is unparalleled and one of the many reasons why I am ecstatic to begin.”
With Garibaldi, Staskiewicz coached present and future leaders while spearheading all revenue and operational strategic initiatives of the firm, the news release said. He also led the development of marketing and sales strategies and implemented systematic approaches to generating new business to support sales teams.
Staskiewicz is also the founder and managing principal of Effective Realty Advisors, a consulting firm specializing in revenue generation systems for commercial real estate professionals, which advises companies on improving their business strategies to increase profits and performance, C&W said. He previously held brokerage roles with Newmark Knight Frank, the Schultz Organization and Lee & Associates and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member designee and a licensed real estate broker in New Jersey.
He holds a bachelor’s in economics from Rutgers University.
