The Alfred N. Sanzari Family Foundation is nearing the close of its second application period for a grant cycle that will provide local causes with awards ranging from $500 to $10,000.
Based in Hackensack, the organization is approaching its 20th anniversary after launching to carry on the legacy of Alfred N. Sanzari, founder of real estate firm Alfred Sanzari Enterprises. That has equated to promoting and supporting a wide range of causes across northern New Jersey with more than $2 million in donations to date — prioritizing health care initiatives, particularly those focused on patient care and Parkinson’s disease, local education programs and services that assist disadvantaged populations, including shelters, housing and programs for women and children in need.
The foundation is encouraging local nonprofits to apply for second grant cycle by Aug. 31, noting that full details about the program and application process are available on the Alfred N. Sanzari Family Foundation’s website.
“For nearly two decades, the Alfred N. Sanzari Family Foundation has been honored to build on our grandfather’s lifelong mission to give back to the communities that shaped his life and work,” said Lisa Britt, a member of the Alfred N. Sanzari Family Foundation board of trustees. “From health care and education to housing and support for our most vulnerable neighbors, our grants have helped hundreds of organizations create lasting, positive change. We look forward to continuing to support local nonprofits whose work strengthens our communities, and ensuring our grandfather’s legacy of service continues for generations to come.”
