Denholtz has rebranded a 214-unit luxury apartment complex in Hudson County, a move aimed at integrating the property with others in its growing multifamily portfolio.
Now known as The Rail at North Bergen, the development at 4828 Tonnelle Ave. is steps from the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail’s Tonnelle Avenue station and within a 10-minute drive of the Lincoln Tunnel, providing easy access to Midtown Manhattan and direct connections to Jersey City, Newark and Hoboken. That access appealed to Denholtz when it acquired the former Solo at North Bergen in 2023.
It’s now among several properties in the firm’s Rail Living portfolio, which also includes a 57-unit building in Red Bank and a 143-unit mixed-use community in Bound Brook. Both are steps from their towns’ respective train stations.
“Rebranding Solo as The Rail at North Bergen reinforces our commitment to transit-oriented development and provides a consistent identity across our growing multifamily portfolio,” said Kayte Peters, Denholtz’s vice president for residential. “The alignment strengthens our Rail portfolio through a unified approach to branding, operations and resident experience.”
Completed shortly before the firm’s acquisition, The Rail at North Bergen has a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom floorplans across four buildings, including a five-story elevator-served structure, according to a news release. Amenities include a clubhouse with resident lounges and gaming areas, a modern fitness center, an outdoor swimming pool with grilling stations, an outdoor sauna, a dog run and a full-service package room.
