TFE Properties has completed the first piece of a new apartment community in Lakewood, a 74-unit complex located between Route 9 and the Garden State Parkway.
The developer announced Wednesday that it has opened the property at 929 New Hampshire Ave., where move-ins are scheduled for this month. Known as Hampshire Crossing, the community sits off Route 70 and includes a mix of one- and two-bedroom layouts, placing residents just minutes from the area’s two major highways.
TFE, which is based in East Windsor, said the project was the first phase of its plans for the Lakewood site, although information about the subsequent phases was not immediately available.
“We have received a very positive response so far from future tenants and from the Northern Ocean County community,” Carey Tajfel, co-president of TFE Properties, said in a prepared statement. “Our pre-leasing period was busy, and we expect to fill all vacancies in the coming months.”
Tajfel also touted the complex’s proximity to the adjacent E-Z Self Storage Lakewood, along with the apartments’ high-end appliances and interiors. Hampshire Crossing also includes amenities such as a modern fitness center.
The pet-friendly community sits between downtown Lakewood, Brick and Toms River, according to a news release. Residents will have access to nearby shopping and entertainment including Ocean County Mall, Ocean County Park, Woodlake Country Club and Point Pleasant Beach.
