A joint venture has opened the doors to a new 145-unit apartment building on the west side of Jersey City, touting a design focused on local artists and cultural offerings.
The developers, Fields Grade and Blumberg & Freilich Equities, have launched leasing at 1320 Yale Ave. at the property known as The Agnes. They’re now seeking to lure renters to the collection of upscale studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom homes, which comes alongside more than 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenity space.
Monthly rents start at $1,480, with grand opening incentives.
“Jersey City’s west side is a rejuvenated neighborhood mixing longtime restaurants, bars and retail with a collection of new and trendy shops, cafés and more,” said Greg Russo, a principal with Fields Grade. “The Agnes enters this market with stylish residences and a thoughtful and innovative amenity package that will enhance the resident experience.”
Common spaces at the property include an outdoor pool and landscaped courtyard, a club room, public and private workspaces, a lounge with a fireplace and a high-end fitness center, according to a news release. The developers also touted the addition of an art book library, adding that The Agnes will showcase a collaboration with contemporary artists, photographers, literary experts, designers and others to create a connection between residents and Jersey City’s creative community.
At the street level, the building will have retail space housing a wellness-focused café called The Nell, which will feature locally based Afficianado Roasters. Fields Grade and Blumberg & Freilich highlighted those features along with the site’s proximity to a host of eateries, retailers and park and recreation spaces.
Renters will also have quick access to downtown Jersey City via the nearby Hudson-Bergen Light Rail and are minutes from the New Jersey Turnpike. Meantime, the landlords will provide complimentary shuttle service to the Journal Square PATH station.
The project team for The Agnes includes interior designer Wherewithal and creative partners Studio Scissor, First Child, New World Group and Brandog, the news release said. The firms collaborated with owners Fields Grade and Blumberg & Freilich, Creative Director Dasha Faires and leasing agent The Marketing Directors.
