A developer has broken ground on a 35-unit apartment building in East Rutherford, offering a location near Route 17 and midway between two Bergen County train stations.
Diversified Properties LLC announced Tuesday that construction is underway at 480 Paterson Ave., the future site of the luxury rental project known as 480 Flatz. Slated for completion next spring, the planned four-story building will offer a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts.
“Demand for well-located, luxury rental product in this Bergen County market remains strong and we’re thrilled to launch 480 Flatz,” said Nicholas Minoia, a principal of the Montville-based development firm. “This community will cater to residents in search of commuting convenience and a true maintenance-free lifestyle.”
Designed by Thomas J. Brennan Architects, 480 Flatz will offer homes ranging from 700 to 1100 square feet with upscale interiors. Diversified highlighted the site’s proximity to Route 17, which is about a mile to the east, and to NJ Transit’s Rutherford and Wesmont stations.
Five units will be designated as affordable housing.
