Men’s apparel retailer DXL Big + Tall has taken more than 6,100 square feet at the Somerville Circle Shopping Center in Raritan, according to a leasing team with Levin Management Corp.
In a news release, LMC said the 150,000-square-foot property at the junction of routes 202/206 and 28 is now at full occupancy as a result of the deal. DXL will take over the space formerly occupied by Harmon Discount, adding to a footprint that includes more than 250 stores nationwide.
LMC Senior Leasing Representative Vanessa Kelty represented ownership in the 6,130-square-foot lease, while Alison Horbach of RIPCO Real Estate represented the tenant.
“The addition of a widely recognized and respected apparel brand reinforces our commitment to provide area shoppers with a variety of high-quality retail options,” Kelty said. “DXL Big + Tall is a perfect match for Somerville Circle Shopping Center and a wonderful complement to our existing tenant mix.”
DXL offers one of the most extensive assortments of men’s big and tall clothing and shoes available across all price points, from value-priced private labels to high-end designer names, the news release said. In Raritan, it now joins a property with Burlington, P.C. Richard & Son, Staples and Petco as its anchors and additional tenants such as Five Below, Panera Bread, Carter’s and America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses.
LMC said the complex draws 1.6 million visitors per year, citing real-time traffic data from Placer.ai. It serves a growing population of more than 119,000 within a five-mile radius.
