A specialty foods distributor has acquired an 18,000-square-foot industrial building in Newark for nearly $3 million, Bussel Realty Corp. said Tuesday.
In a news release, the brokerage firm said it represented Paramount Holding Co. LLC in the sale of 185-193 Mount Pleasant Ave. Bacik Co. of New York Inc., which manufactures and wholesales Polish food products, acquired the property for $2.9 million.
“After an extensive search of possible purchasers for this well-located property near downtown Newark, the ports and Newark Liberty Airport, we found a purchaser from Brooklyn, whose business is ideal for this location and facility,” said Suzanne Tharaldsen, a BRC vice president.
Keller Williams represented the buyer. In announcing the deal, BRC touted site’s location a block from Route 21 and minutes from interstates 280 and 78 and the New Jersey Turnpike, along with its 15-foot to 18-foot ceiling heights, three drive-in doors and fenced parking lot.
