Bob’s Discount Furniture has been identified as the newly signed tenant at a 360,000-square-foot industrial building in Carteret, one of two deals completed recently by developer Prologis.
A report by CoStar named Bob’s as the occupant at 50 Middlesex Ave. The property sits within the Port Reading Business Park, a complex some 3.5 miles from the New Jersey Turnpike.
Brokerage firm CBRE announced the deal last month as part of 870,000 square feet of new leasing activity on behalf of Prologis, but did not identify the tenant. The other deal, a 507,500-square-foot lease with DSV Global Transport and Logistics, took place at 1005 West Middlesex Ave. in Woodbridge.

The Carteret property, a distribution facility, features a 36-foot clear height, 68 dock doors, four drive-in doors and parking for 137 cars and 138 trailers, CBRE said at the time. The report by CoStar said the building was constructed in 2005.
Bob’s Discount Furniture is an everyday low price furniture and bedding retailer with 75 showrooms in 13 states in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions, according to its website. The Manchester, Connecticut-based company was founded in 1991.
