A developer has landed $6 million in financing for a newly opened Wawa gas station and convenience store in Springfield, G.S. Wilcox & Co. announced Wednesday.
In a news release, the commercial mortgage banking firm said Vice President Bridget Wilcox and Principal Albert Raymond secured the loan for the property at 685 Morris Turnpike. The team sourced the financing through Mutual of Omaha, one of the firm’s correspondent life insurance companies, which is providing a 20-year term and 25-year amortization.
G.S. Wilcox & Co. secured the loan on behalf of a Florida-based developer, the news release said. The new store opened on June 18 and is the chain’s 900th site, offering more than 5,500 square feet of convenience store space with gas pumps and electric charging stations.
“The Springfield community has eagerly anticipated the opening of this Wawa because of the reliable fuel and food options they provide for visitors on the go,” Wilcox said. “G.S. Wilcox & Co. is pleased to secure this competitive financing on behalf of our client.”
