Denholtz Associates has renewed two tenants at a 10-building commercial complex in Clark.
In a news release Wednesday, the real estate firm said Retro Fitness and KinderCare Learning Centers LLC each leased nearly 14,000 square-feet. The companies are tenants at Clark Commercial Center, a 21-acre mixed use site at Central Avenue and Terminal Avenue.
The overall portfolio includes 283,201 square feet and one unimproved parcel that Denholtz is evaluating for future development, the Matawan-based firm said. The property is anchored by cosmetics giant L’Oreal, which occupies more than 190,000 square feet as part of its North American research and development facility.
Retro Fitness leases space at 225 Terminal Ave., while KinderCare, a community-based early childhood education center, has space at 89 Terminal Ave.
“Following our acquisition of this property last year, our strategy was to find and retain tenants that were great fits for the township of Clark and would continue to deliver maximum returns on our investment,” Kristine Hurlbut, senior vice president of leasing at Denholtz Associates, said in a prepared statement. “These long-term lease renewals with well-established companies, like KinderCare and Retro Fitness, are part of this plan and further exemplify our commitment to our multitenant diversification strategy which allows us to achieve superior, risk-adjusted returns.”
The property sits just off Exit 135 of the Garden State Parkway, between Central and Rahway Avenue, with easy access to Interstate 78 and the New Jersey Turnpike. Other major tenants include The Lawbook Exchange, New York Community Bank and the headquarters of the Promptcare Companies.
