GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc. has named a new associate principal at the environmental and geotechnical consulting firm’s northern New Jersey office in Fairfield.
The company this week announced the promotion of Mindy Sayres to the position. She has been with GZA for 24 years and has more than 30 years of experience in the environmental field, having led an array of geologic, hydrologic and contaminant investigations for private industry, government agencies and developers.
Sayres is a Licensed Site Remediation Professional in New Jersey, GZA said. She is also a member of the Licensed Site Remediation Professional Association, Society of Women Environmental Professionals, Commercial Real Estate Women, National Groundwater Association and the Urban Land Institute.
The Montclair resident earned her bachelor’s in geology from the State University of New York at Oneonta and a master’s in geology from Queens College of the City University of New York. She is also a professional geologist in New York State and Pennsylvania.
