Hotels Unlimited Inc. has reopened its Hilton Garden Inn Lakewood, following a $5 million renovation of the 110-room hotel on Route 70.
The owner, which unveiled the transformed space earlier this month, said the floor-to-ceiling renovation includes an overhaul of all guest rooms and suites, the lobby, meeting rooms, the indoor pool and all common areas, including the fitness center and an on-site restaurant. It also spruced up and repainted the exterior with what it described as a modern color-block palette, providing a serene, welcoming feel before guests step foot in the lobby.
“We’re excited to celebrate the reopening of the Hilton Garden Inn Lakewood,” said Carey Tajfel, president of East Windsor-based Hotels Unlimited. “The hotel’s location right off the Garden State Parkway makes it the perfect choice for corporate and leisure travelers, as well as vacationing families who want easy access to local attractions in the area including the Jersey Shore and boardwalks.”
According to ownership, the Hilton Garden Inn Lakewood’s renovations were designed with conveniences for the modern traveler. That includes a focus on furniture with a contemporary, functional design, especially the guestroom headboards with built-in electronic connections and individual reading lights.
The hotel at 1885 Route 70 also has an expanded outdoor deck and pergola, plus a new indoor pool area and an expanded fitness center with modern workout equipment.
“We are seeing so many more guests taking advantage of these great spaces!” said Michael Ramos, the property’s general manager. “I am very excited to be putting the finishing touches on this outstanding hotel renovation. Our team members are so proud of our all-new hotel, and they take great pride in keeping it beautiful and comfortable for all our guests.”
