Integrated Business Systems has hired a new vice president of sales and marketing, as it seeks to tap into the growing demand for real estate technology solutions.

The new executive, Daniel Lehman, brings more than two decades of construction and property management tech experience. He will oversee sales and marketing for the Totowa-based firm’s two core products: Imperium Powered by Acumatica and Acumatica Construction Edition.
The former is a proprietary, cloud-based property management accounting platform and an outgrowth of IBS’ legacy system, according to a news release. Acumatica Construction Edition, meantime, is an enterprise resource planning system designed specifically for the construction and development vertical.
IBS President Michael Mullin touted the new hire, citing the increased opportunities and stepped-up demand for real estate technology solutions that enhance productivity and profit margins.
“This is an exciting time in the commercial real estate tech arena,” Mullin said. “Today’s robust, cloud-based applications are targeting industry-specific needs — bringing mobility and transparency to construction and property management enterprise accounting, and easing historic ‘pain points’ like effective office/field communication, project estimating and time reporting.
“With the increasing influence of a tech-savvy generation in C-suite decision-making, there exists extraordinary potential for established companies like IBS.”
IBS also noted that both Imperium Powered by Acumatica and Acumatica Construction Edition support easy integrations with high-end software addressing various real estate-related tasks.
“IBS is a well-established brand in the New York/New Jersey marketplace, recognized for its feature-rich legacy property management/accounting system and long-time client relationships,” Lehman said. “Equally impressive is its foresight and partnership with Acumatica, which has served to produce Imperium Powered by Acumatica — a redeployment of the legacy system’s best functionality on a leading cloud ERP platform. That product is being sold directly to the market by IBS, and with increasing levels via the Acumatica reseller network domestically and internationally.
“The partnership also has opened new doors for IBS’s diversification as a reseller of Acumatica’s Construction Edition.”
Lehman previously held vice president and senior sales positions with Viewpoint Construction Software and predecessor firms Maxwell Systems and Colonial Systems, according to a news release. During his 21-year tenure, he successfully guided sales teams through multiple acquisitions and amassed a track record for significantly expanding product sets and customer bases.
He now believes that IBS is positioned for significant expansion, he said.
“The past few years have brought so many products leveraging cutting-edge tech advancements, with the sole purpose of helping businesses get better,” he said. “I’m looking forward to helping existing and future IBS clients understand and implement these technologies to become more efficient, strategic and competitive.”
A longtime member of the Construction Financial Management Association, Lehman earned a bachelor’s from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Penn State University.
