The first residents have moved into a new boutique condominium building in Jersey City, where buyers have snapped up more than two-thirds of its 71 luxury homes.
Strategic Capital, the investment arm of China Construction America, announced this week that move-ins are underway at the property known as Shore House. The builder hailed the seven-story building as the fastest-selling new development in the city, noting that it is part of the first condo project in the waterfront Newport neighborhood in nearly a decade.
That pace is a promising sign for Strategic Capital’s larger plans for the area. Shore House is part of an overall 429-unit development known as Park and Shore, which includes a sister building known as 75 Park Lane.

“We are thrilled to welcome the first residents to Shore House,” said Phillip Gesue of Strategic Capital. “Shore House signifies a unique opportunity in Jersey City, and the development has captivated the community with its impeccable design and one-of-a-kind views.”
The firm touted the property’s industrial aesthetic, high-end interiors and a design by architecture firm Woods Bagot, which is inspired by the lofts of Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood. Strategic Capital also hopes to lure buyers with what it says are New York City views and amenities, which include an Olympic-size swimming pool, a wine-tasting lounge with private dining room, putting green, children’s play area and co-working lounge.
Pricing for the remaining one-bedroom homes at Shore House starts at $775,000, the firm said. The Marketing Directors is overseeing sales at the property.
Plaza Construction, Strategic Capital’s sister company, served as the project’s construction manager and general contractor.
