JLL has added a veteran broker to its New Jersey office leasing team, with a focus on tenant representation and portfolio strategy for national and global clients.

The firm said Michael Nicholson, who brings 15 years of commercial real estate industry experience, will be based in its Parsippany office. He joins the team as an executive vice president, JLL said, touting his expertise in commercial tenant representation and investment real estate, with a specialization in multimarket portfolios.
Nicholson will work within the northern New Jersey office team led by Tim Greiner.
“I am excited to join JLL at a time of significant change in the industry,” Nicholson said. “JLL’s powerful platform will help me to support clients as they negotiate the evolving challenges and opportunities both here in New Jersey and beyond.”
Nicholson, a former director of business development with The Acclaim Group, has been responsible for a broad scope of real estate functions during his career, according to a news release. He has spearheaded transactions in primary and secondary markets in more than 40 U.S. states for a broad mix of clients, with experience in the office and industrial sectors across client types such as professional services, information technology and food and beverage.
“We are pleased to welcome Mike to the New Jersey team as we continue to expand our team of market-leading professionals that also add to our collaborative culture,” said Greiner, an executive managing director with JLL. “Mike’s expertise and his understanding of diverse real estate markets will be an asset to our clients.”
Prior to entering commercial real estate, Nicholson was the top corporate salesperson for a multinational publishing company and the head of business development at a New York City marketing services firm, the news release said. He graduated from Vanderbilt University, earning a bachelor’s in philosophy and psychology.
