Developers have debuted the first phase of a new 409-unit apartment complex in Harrison, marking the latest addition to the redevelopment zone near the town’s PATH station.
The joint venture of Ironstate Development and Pegasus Group said the project, known as Harrison Urby, has entered its initial phase of leasing at 777 South Third St. Designed by the architecture firm Concrete, the community will span three four-story buildings sitting two blocks from the PATH station, which offers a 20-minute ride to Lower Manhattan.
The project follows Urby developments in Jersey City and the north shore of Staten Island. The communities, conceptualized by Ironstate and Concrete, place an emphasis on collective spaces and amenities that create opportunities for residents to meet and interact.
As such, Harrison Urby includes features such as a chef’s kitchen with group seating for culinary classes, events and resident gatherings, along with a recording studio for a resident jazz musician and a two-story café in the lobby. The concept also seeks to make more efficient use of space within each individual apartment.
Prices range from $1,800 for a studio to $3,200 for a two-bedroom apartment, the developers said in a news release.
The property also features amenities such as a fitness center, saltwater swimming pool, patio and a pet garden. Residents have access to car parking and bicycle storages.
