Kushner Cos. has acquired two properties in Long Branch to complete an oceanfront corner assemblage alongside its Pier Village complex, brokers with The Kislak Co. Inc. said.
The transactions include the $2.7 million sale of 176 Ocean Ave., an oceanfront single-family home with a guest house on nearly a third of an acre, Kislak said. The other was the $1.45 million sale of 34 Morris Ave., which has another home on over a quarter of an acre.
Both properties border the former Ocean Court Motel property at 170 Ocean Ave., which is at the corner of Ocean Avenue and Morris Avenue. Kushner purchased the motel property last year in another off-market sale arranged by the Woodbridge-based brokerage firm.
Kislak Chief Operating Officer Jason Pucci and Senior Vice President Jeffrey Wiener completed the assignments, representing an affiliate of Kushner.
“These properties are a natural fit for Kushner given their oceanfront location just south of Pier Village,” Pucci said. “Over the past 30 years, Jeff Wiener, our colleagues and I have done more than 70 deals with Kushner and we are pleased to assist with their expansion in Long Branch.”
The sellers of 176 Ocean Ave. and 34 Morris Ave. are a private company and an individual, respectively, Kislak said. Attorneys Robert Witek of Resnikoff & Witek and R. Jerome Jabbour, represented the respective sellers, while Alan Hammer, Brian Peykar and Jeffrey Itzkowitz of Brach Eichler LLC represented the buyer.
