Larken Associates has hired a new director of human resources to support its continued expansion, the Branchburg-based real estate firm announced Wednesday.
Terence Reilly, who brings more than 20 years of experience, will work closely with Chief Operating Officer Lenny Tartamella as he looks to enhance the company’s HR program. The firm said he will use a data-driven and employee-centric approach to increase employee engagement and satisfaction, while identifying opportunities to grow the charity and community service initiative known as Larken Cares.
“As we plan our long-term growth trajectory, we know that the ability to attract new talent while retaining and nurturing the staff who make our success possible will be key in our ability to continue to grow efficiently,” said David Gardner, CEO and president of Larken Associates. “By adding Terence to our executive team, we are reinforcing the foundation we know is needed to realize this tremendous growth in a sustainable manner. We welcome him to our team and look forward to leveraging his insights and experience as we chart the path towards our continued expansion in the years to come.”
Over the past several years, Larken Associates has bolstered its capabilities and supported its growth with the addition of several key hires, bringing its staff to more than 100, according to a news release. With an eye toward continued expansion, Reilly will ensure that the firm’s HR systems and processes can be assets to the long-term growth of the company.
The company cited Reilly’s leadership and ability to balance HR needs with operating and financial demands throughout his career, which includes companies across the engineering, construction and telecommunications industries, the news release said. Prior to joining Larken Associates, he served as vice president of human resources and equal employment opportunity officer for New Enterprise Stone and Lime in New Enterprise, Pennsylvania.
Reilly has also led HR departments at Ferreira Construction, Moretrench American Corp., Panasonic Electric Works of America and Cingular Wireless/Velocita Wireless.
“While Larken Associates’ track record of high-quality commercial and residential real estate work is notable, what truly makes them unique is their consistent focus on creating one of the industry’s best places to work,” Reilly said. “I look forward to working with their executive team to continue the work that has already been done while putting the systems and processes in place to continue to attract and retain the industry’s best talent.”
