Brokers and staff with Lee & Associates New Jersey came together this month to support an annual school supply drive by the United Way of Passaic County.
The real estate services firm, which is based in Elmwood Park, said it collected, filled and donated 40 backpacks and 100 sets of school supplies for the organization’s Backpacks 4 Kids! initiative. They did so with the help of additional donors from Lee & Associates Property Management, The Law Offices of Wanda Chin Monahan LLC and Templar Foods, which purchased composition notebooks, crayons, pencils, erasers, pens, single-subject notebooks and more for Passaic County students.
“Giving back is central in the Lee & Associates culture, and we have a terrific team of thoughtful people who came together to support United Way,” said Rick Marchisio, president and principal of Lee & Associates New Jersey. “We value our community deeply, and we are always thrilled to provide opportunities for our team members to support great causes — in this case, right in our backyard.”
United Way’s Backpacks 4 Kids! drive is a part of an annual initiative to increase the academic success and high school graduation rates of children, according to a news release. In Passaic County, recipients include more than 1,000 students in need at schools and community organizations.
