Veteran industrial broker Jimo Liu has joined Cushman & Wakefield as an executive managing director with its New Jersey team.
Liu, who was previously with Avison Young, will provide brokerage and advisory services for new and existing clients, focusing on multimarket third-party logistics firms, according to a news release. He will join the team led by Chuck Fern, one of the firm’s top-performing industrial groups nationwide, and will be based in the Iselin section of Woodbridge.

Liu has more than a decade of commercial real estate experience, having negotiated more than 1 million square feet of industrial leases in 2021, the news release said. He is a former senior vice president at Avison Young and vice president at HHE Investment Inc., where he managed the firm’s real estate portfolio in the U.S.
The Rutgers University graduate started his career in investment management at The MDE Group, now Beacon Trust, where he was responsible for portfolio management, risk analysis and asset collection.

Liu holds degrees in biomedical engineering and economics from Rutgers University’s School of Engineering.
