Mattress Warehouse has leased 7,000 square feet at a busy Route 1 shopping center in North Brunswick, under a newly announced deal by Levin Management Corp.
According to the firm, the space at North Village Shopping Center will be the retailer’s first Middlesex County location. It will operate on a long-term lease alongside anchors Trader Joe’s, Bed Bath & Beyond and Michaels Arts & Crafts, along with tenants such as Staples, Ulta Beauty, Panera Bread and a soon-to-open Wu’s Shanghai Dumpling House, among others.
LMC Leasing Representative Ed Vasconcellos III represented ownership at the 124,000-square-foot property, while Gary Leone of CBRE represented the tenant.
“Mattress Warehouse had been pursuing a Route 1 location for quite some time,” Vasconcellos said. “North Village Shopping Center enjoys a tremendous amount of traffic on Route 1 with more than 100,000 cars passing the property every day. Its location also makes it easily accessible to nearby neighborhoods and Route 130.”
Mattress Warehouse, which offers a range of mattress models and sleep accessories, pillows, sheets, mattress protectors, bed frames and more, joins a property that serves a growing population of more than 260,000 residents within a five-mile radius, LMC said. The brokerage team is marketing one remaining 1,600-square-foot space at the property.
