Arizona Beverage Co. has opened the doors to a new 621,000-square-foot production, manufacturing and bottling facility in Woodbridge.
The international iced tea company welcomed local officials on Thursday to the 37-acre site at 1 Arizona Way, part of a Federal Business Center complex in the town’s Keasbey section. Located off Mac Lane, the facility provides Arizona with quick access to the vast highway network that runs through the township, including the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway, along with Newark Liberty International Airport and Port Newark-Elizabeth.
“We are pleased to welcome Arizona as an outstanding member of the Woodbridge Township corporate community,” Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac. “Arizona represents the most significant development project to locate in Woodbridge Township in decades. It is important to note that Arizona reviewed many location options to site their North American manufacturing facility and chose Woodbridge to construct their distribution facility.”
McCormac joined other officials and Arizona executives, including founder and CEO Don Vultaggio, to cut a ceremonial ribbon on the project. They noted that, when construction is complete, an abandoned rail spur will be reactivated to serve the facility, which features 45 dock positions, a 20,640-square-foot maintenance garage and solar energy systems.
