The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has leased 138,000 square feet in Elizabeth to a logistics firm, under a newly announced transaction by The Blau & Berg Co.
The brokerage firm on Monday said it represented both the agency and the tenant, DiPinto International Logistics Inc., in the deal at 1400 Corbin St. The user, a specialist in transportation, freighting and warehousing, is relocating from a space in Dayton.
Blau & Berg Executive Director Brian DiPinto completed the long-term lease. He said DiPinto International calls on the Port of New York and New Jersey for 90 percent of its business, making the location ideal amidst a limited warehouse inventory in the market.
The Corbin Street property has 24 bays, two drive-in doors and yard space to accommodate up to 30 trailers.
“Given the property’s location in Port Elizabeth within minutes from Newark Liberty International Airport, New York City and major area roadways, including the New Jersey Turnpike, this was a timely opportunity to relocate on of our warehouse and transportation centers to the logistics hub of the northeast,” said Robert DiPinto, the owner of DiPinto International Logistics. “The Blau & Berg Co. was instrumental in expediting the deal, which will ultimately allow us to offer our clients faster and more turnkey services.”
Blau & Berg also brokered a deal to bring a new tenant, Greenway Products and Services Inc., to DiPinto International’s now former warehouse at 5 Wheeling Road. DiPinto represented the tenant, while Bussel Realty Corp. Senior Vice President Steve Nozza represented the owner, Budd Development.
