A developer has opened the doors to a senior housing and assisted living complex in Monmouth County, under a newly delivered project by March Associates Construction Inc.
The construction management firm, which is based in Wayne, worked on behalf of Capitol Seniors Housing to complete The Chelsea at Shrewsbury. Located at 515 Shrewsbury Ave., the three-story complex includes 113 beds and amenities such as a theater, dining room with a demonstration kitchen, beauty salon and fitness center with a rehabilitation area.
March Associates noted that 27 of the property’s 85 units are dedicated to memory care. Meyer Architects designed the project, which spans more than 74,000 square feet and is the first modern assisted living complex built in the local market since 2000.
The Chelsea is less than a mile and a half from the Garden State Parkway.
