T&M Associates has strengthened its land development team in recent months with the addition of industry veterans Joseph Mele and Ryan Ward.
According to the firm, which is based in Middletown, Mele serves as department manager, community and land development, and brings more than 30 years of engineering expertise to his new role. He has led private and public land development projects in New Jersey, New York City and other regions and holds multiple state engineering licenses.
What’s more, Mele is actively involved in strategic planning, marketing and mentoring, consistently advancing innovation in land development and urban infrastructure, T&M said in a news release. He has held roles at organizations including MidAtlantic Engineering Partners, K. Hovnanian Homes and Dresdner Robin.
Ward, for his part, operates as a supervising engineer. The licensed professional civil engineer and project management professional has led design teams in managing civil design projects, timelines, permitting and client coordination throughout the state, doing so while collaborating with disciplines such as survey, traffic, geotechnical and environmental and coordinating with agencies and professionals throughout New Jersey on their review.
His previous employers include Colliers Engineering & Design, Dynamic Engineering Consultants PC and KMB Design Group.
“I am thrilled to welcome Joe and Ryan to the growing land development team at T&M Associates,” said Mark Vizzini, vice president and regional market sector leader, land development, at the firm. “Ryan’s technical capabilities are impressive, and he is skilled at successfully managing projects through the challenging regulatory permitting landscape in New Jersey.
“Having previously worked with Joe for close to a decade, I can attest to his industry expertise, professionalism and leadership, which will be invaluable to our growing group. Both Ryan and Joe are well respected by developers, land-use attorneys and public and private organizations, and will key assets to our land development team as we navigate both the challenges and opportunities in New Jersey’s evolving commercial real estate landscape.”
