A veteran broker with NAI James E. Hanson has earned the prestigious Society of Industrial and Office Realtors designation, joining nearly a dozen others at the storied firm.
Russell Verducci, a vice president with NAI Hanson, also joins a select group of around 3,400 brokers worldwide to hold the title, which recognizes the top producers in commercial real estate. He has achieved the milestone after joining the firm in 2005, with a focus on port-related industrial properties along the New Jersey Turnpike and a specialty in cold storage and logistics.
“For almost 50 years, the SIOR designation has showcased the commercial real estate industry’s best and brightest,” said William C. Hanson, NAI Hanson’s president. “Russell’s commitment to client service and track record of success has shown that there are few people in the industry more deserving of this tremendous honor than him.
“I applaud him on becoming the newest member of SIOR and am grateful to have him as a member of the NAI James E. Hanson family.”
In a news release, the Teterboro-based firm touted Verducci’s deep knowledge, work ethic, creativity and experience. He has brokered several newsworthy leases in recent years, including two industrial deals of 130,963 square feet and 45,408 square feet at 629 Grove St. in Jersey City and a 119,268-square-foot industrial sublease in Newark, among others.
NAI Hanson added that he has helped close 21 deals that were each worth at least $2 million. Topping that list is the 2016 sale of 211 Johnson St. in Staten Island for $13.3 million and a $33 million lease at 60 Lister Ave. in Newark in 2015.
Among several internal accolades, Verducci and Executive Managing Director Michael Walters received NAI Hanson’s 2015 Transaction of the Year Award for their work on a 352,000-square-foot industrial lease in Newark with HelloFresh, an international food delivery service, the news release said. The lease was significant enough to garner attention statewide, as Verducci and his team were also awarded the 2016 Cooperating Award from the SIOR’s New Jersey chapter.
To date, they have completed seven deals for Hello Fresh for a total of more than 560,000 square feet.
Verducci’s designation brings the total number of SIORs at NAI Hanson to 11, the most of any commercial real estate brokerage in New Jersey. The list also includes Barry J. Cohorsky, Jeffrey W. DeMagistris, Peter O. Hanson, William C. Hanson, W. Joshua Levering, Kenneth D. Lundberg, Scott K. Perkins, Andrew Somple, Thomas A. Vetter and Walters.
The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors is a global commercial and industrial real estate association whose membership spans 686 cities in 36 countries. To achieve the SIOR designation, Verducci was required to demonstrate his deep experience in closing deals with a focus on professional ability, competency, ethical conduct and personal integrity, all while completing stringent educational requirements.
