A clothing distributor is relocating to a Hackensack industrial building, where it will occupy more than 14,000 square feet with the potential for expansion.
The company, Copper Rivet, has leased the space at 86-110 Orchard St. from landlord Orchard Oak Realty, brokers with NAI James E. Hanson said recently. Doing business as BT & DC Corp., the tenant specializes in boys’ and men’s clothing and will use the 14,320-square-foot building to distribute clothing to retailers across the U.S.
NAI Hanson’s Pablo Castro, Thomas Vetter and Jeff DeMagistris represented Mayer Steg of Orchard Oak Realty in the transaction. Kevin O’Rourke and Jeff St. Thomas of McBride Corporate Real Estate represented the tenant.
“The property’s proximity to New York City and its flexible space make it ideally suited for a wide range of tenants and highlights the continuing demand we’ve seen throughout the year in the northern New Jersey industrial market,” Vetter said. “Given that NAI Hanson is Hackensack-based, we were able to leverage our decades of experience in our home market on behalf of our client, allowing us to secure a tenant for them that exhibits a strong potential for growth.”
BT & DC Corp. is relocating from Carlstadt, NAI Hanson said in a news release. Its new home is six miles from the New Jersey Turnpike and the George Washington Bridge, offering easy access to New York City. The industrial building features 24-foot ceiling heights, ample and overflow parking and three loading docks.
