Brian Godau has joined NAI James E. Hanson, where the veteran broker will serve the firm’s roster of owner, occupier and institutional clients.
According to a news release, Godau will serve as a vice president and work from the company’s Parsippany office. He comes to the role after 25 years with CBRE, part of a career that spans more than 30 years in brokerage, corporate real estate management and development advisory services.
“Brian’s extensive experience and background in corporate real estate make him a strong addition to our growing team,” said William C. Hanson, president of NAI James E. Hanson. “His financial acumen, longstanding relationships and deep understanding of the northern New Jersey market align perfectly with our commitment to delivering best-in-class service and strategic guidance to our clients.”
Godau most recently was a first vice president with CBRE, the news release said. He was involved in a wide range of assignments during his tenure, including property disposition strategies, real estate development initiatives and complex commercial transactions in and around northern New Jersey.
Earlier in his career, Godau served as a real estate manager for State Farm Insurance, overseeing corporate real estate matters and gaining valuable institutional insight into portfolio management and site selection strategy, NAI Hanson said, noting that the experience gives him a unique perspective when advising both occupiers and ownership groups.
“NAI James E. Hanson’s decades-long reputation for local market expertise and delivering premier client service was a key factor in my decision to join the firm,” Godau said. “I’m excited to begin this next chapter in my career and help clients capitalize on opportunities across northern New Jersey and beyond.”
Godau holds an MBA in finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a bachelor’s in finance from Old Dominion University.
